This was my second commissioned piece! created to capture the unique rhythm of life in Washington, D.C., during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a panoramic view of U Street, I depicted people from all walks of life navigating the city while wearing masks, reflecting the community's shared experience and resilience. I chose orange tones to evoke a sunset and the tumultuous feelings that the pandemic stirred in many people. Layers of acrylic and tissue paper create depth and texture, highlighting both the bustle of daily life and the quiet moments shaped by unprecedented times.
